The Community Catalyst Award was introduced at the 2024 Gentle Density Leaders Summit to honour a visionary in the field. A Community Catalyst stands out from their peers as a driving force in fostering gentle density housing and reshaping our communities for the better. More than a recognition, the award honours a member of our community whose efforts have catalyzed the delivery of homes that people want, need and deserve.

This award affords an opportunity to collectively acknowledge and appreciate the transformative potential of gentle density housing planning. The Community Catalyst inspires and motivates their colleagues in the industry to create spaces that accommodate growth by fostering vibrant, connected, and sustainable communities for generations to come.

Nominations will be scored on five criteria:

Community Impact
Innovation and Creativity in Design
Stakeholder and Community Engagement
Sustainability and Scalability
Overall Contribution to the field of Gentle Density Housing
