About me
Bryn Davidson is the co-founder and Lead Designer at Lanefab, a Vancouver-based design-build firm specializing in custom homes, multiplexes, and laneway houses that combine West Coast modernism with climate-friendly Passivhaus principles. With degrees in Mechanical Engineering (UC Berkeley) and Architecture (UBC), Bryn is dedicated to creating projects with a Net-Positive impact on the climate crisis, as outlined in his 2014 TEDx talk.
Lanefab completed Vancouver's first Laneway House in 2010 and has since built the first certified Passivhaus projects in New Westminster and Burnaby. Their innovative approach to sustainable infill housing has earned recognition in the New York Times, Forbes, and Dwell, along with awards like the Arthur Erickson Memorial Award and Scotiabank EcoLiving Prize.
